WAWC seeks two new members

The Wild Animal Welfare Committee wishes to recruit two new members to join this enthusiastic expert committee, working to improve the welfare of sentient wild animals in the UK.

WAWC Chair Dr Pete Goddard said:

“The WAWC has been in existence now for over six years and we have an established role as a well-informed participant in the public policy agenda. Through our publications and events we have helped to raise awareness of both the value and vulnerability of sentient wild animals throughout the UK, wherever they are affected by human activities.

“At this time it’s important that we plan for the future, to provide continuity for our work over the next few years, as well as ensuring that the WAWC is an inclusive body representing a wide range of expertise. As a bonus, I am sure the two new members we hope to recruit will enjoy meeting and working with like-minded people with interesting ideas.

“I would encourage anyone interested in joining the WAWC to study the membership information pack and to contact me at wildanimalwelfarecommittee@gmail.com before Monday 30 August. The Committee will discuss recruitment at its September meeting and thereafter we hope to be able to appoint our new colleagues.”
